Provide an introduction to the disease itself, including whether the disease is still a public health threat in modern times, its signs and symptoms, treatments, and prevention strategies.
Many factors lead to the development and spread of diseases, Including environmental, biological, genetic, social, political, economic, behavioral and psychological factors. Select some of these and describe how they likely contributed to its spread in the past. How might this be different in the present?
At the start of the article, the author claims that these diseases “revolutionized public health and changed the world as we know it.” (Earth,org, 2020) Describe at least one critical change in public health policies and/or practices that occurred as a result of this disease.
