For this milestone, submit a draft of the client presentation you will complete for Component 2 of the final project. Use PowerPoint to document the portfolio of stocks. The presentation should outline an investor policy statement to be reviewed with the client, specifying your responsibilities as a financial advisor and the client’s expectations regarding portfolio strategies, asset allocation, risk tolerance, liquidity, the time horizon for the relationship, and other requirements. Component 2 requires audio with your presentation. Only PowerPoint’s audio recording tool should be used for the recorded narration. For this milestone, you can include either audio or speaker notes, but you must include audio for your final submission.
Directions
For this draft presentation, include as many of the criteria required by Component 2 as possible.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Client Presentation: For the second of the three capstone components, you will develop a professional-quality visual presentation (with audio) conveying the results of your portfolio research and analysis to the client. The presentation should clearly lay out an investor policy statement to be reviewed with the client, specifying your responsibilities as a financial advisor and the client’s expectations regarding portfolio strategies, asset allocation, risk tolerance, liquidity, the time horizon for the relationship, and other requirements. It should also provide an overview of the portfolio, including your recommendations and rationale, the rate of return, and the total forecasted earnings of the client over the specified time horizon. Discuss the ethical and compliance requirements incumbent upon an investment professional acting as a fiduciary responsible for the stewardship of client assets. Conclude your presentation by suggesting next steps, including additional products the client might be interested in.
Remember that you are presenting to a client who has hired you for your expertise but who is unlikely to understand technical jargon. Use appropriate language that is both brief and clear in order to ensure that the client fully understands your financial advice.
What to Submit
Include as many criteria of the client presentation (Component 2) as possible. This component will be submitted as an 8- to 10-slide presentation using PowerPoint. Include at least three sources, which should be cited according to APA style. Your supporting research should be as up to date as possible. Any news stories, press releases, or additional sources must be dated within the last 60 days. Company data should be no more than one year old. Using older data may result in being asked to resubmit your work.
