In this unit, we have explored time of death and the four stages of decomposition. Based on what you have learned, you are to create a PowerPoint presentation to address these key issues.
You are the chief medical examiner for your county and presenting to new doctors the basics of how to determine time of death based on the landmarks of decomposition. Make sure you address all four stages.
Your PowerPoint presentation should address the following components:
Slide 1: Title
Slide 2: Introduction
Slides 3 and 4: Theory on time of death
Slides 5 thru 8: Each of the four stages of decomposition
Slides 9 thru 11 : Relevant medical scenarios
Slide 12: Conclusion
Slide 13: References
Your PowerPoint presentation must include a title slide (one slide) and a reference slide (one slide), which does not count toward the minimum 11 slides of content. You are required to insert additional information into the notes section in each slide to communicate your thoughts and ideas thoroughly. If you would prefer, audio voiceover can be utilized in place of slide notes.
Images, graphics, smart art, and/or backgrounds that enhance your presentation and make it look professional, clean, and visually attractive are required; however, do not allow images or graphs to dominate the slides.
