Looking at the two books of Joshua and Judges, the book of Joshua gives the reader a depiction leader who had a plan, and consulted with God on regular basis about this plan. In the book of Judges, the people of Israel have leaders who were extremely flawed, especially in the case of Samson. Additionally, the end of Joshua and Judges are drastically different. At the end of Joshua, the people renew their covenant with God, and at the end of Judges the people do what is right in their own eyes. These books give the reader two vastly different perspectives of what a good leader should do, and in the case of some Judges, what a leader should not do. From your perspective, what are three characteristics of a good leader, and what what are two characteristics of a bad leader?
