The telemedicine study you presented seems promising. However, it also appears that a control group presented in this study lacks in-person care; therefore, it is hard to determine if the improvement was solely attributed to telemedicine. It is important to note that other factors like changes in diet, physical activity, or pandemic stress could have been a contributing factor to glycemic control.
Additionally, a follow-up of four months seems short to assess the effectiveness of the study (Calleja et al., 2022).
