Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to research one human organ system and present it in the form of an infographic. Here is an example of an infographic that describes the digestive procesLinks to an external site..
You will choose and explore one human organ system from Module 1 or you may look ahead and choose one from Module 2. Your aim should be to understand and describe the major organs involved, their function(s), and how the organs work together to sustain life and maintain homeostasis in a healthy individual. In addition, you will explain what may happen if an organ system is disrupted by disease or illness. You will become familiar this organ system, to the point you can answer general questions regarding it. (CO 1, CO2, CO4).
Your infographic will be evaluated by your peers as part of a discussion forum activity. Your peers will pose questions related to its content, which you will be responsible for answering. Likewise, you will evaluate your peers’ presentations and engage in dialogue regarding their content.
This is intended to be a fun activity, relevant to the type of information we see today. Infographics are commonly used on the Internet and social media.
