Select one of twelve regions to develop a 10-15 slide Power Point presentation advocating for increased investment and efforts in Sexual and Reproductive Health for that particular region. Your slides should include: A. What are the sexual health and reproductive issues in this region? B. Why should we invest in this particular region, this group? C. What should be done? D. How will increased investments and efforts help? Be sure to address needs and efforts for both males and females.
2. You are required to LOCATE, USE and CITE a minimum of 3 different professional sources. You will list the sources you used as the last slide of your power point presentation (titled “References”), listed in APA format (worth 3 pts). The wording in the presentation should be IN YOUR OWN WORDS. If you copy something word for word from a document, be sure to cite is properly using APA(SEE APA handout on canvas: put in quotes, cite w/ authors last name, page, and year)
*One source should be the “Face Sheet” specific to the region you select that I have posted in the “Regional Fact Sheets to use for the Advocacy Power Point Assignment” folder. In this folder, there are many fact sheets. You should use ONLY one of these depending on the region you select as ONE of your THREE professional sources. You will be tempted to only use information from this fact sheet, as it contains a lot of information. However, it is imperative that you only select the most important information from this fact sheet and pull additional information from your other sources as well.
*A second source must be a peer-reviewed, professional journal article that you locate on your own.
*A third source may be a professional website, another peer-reviewed professional journal article, a book, a documentary, etc.
3. Be creative – use colors, import a short YouTube video if/where relevant, add pictures or graphics. Remember, you are advocating for the need for more resources for the region you select!
