Using the templates provided, reflect on your journey as an engineer to date and then complete a career action plan for the next 12 months, outlining your individual goals and actions.
Part A – Career reflection
Use Driscoll’s What? So what? Now what? model to reflect on a relevant experience relating to a skill you have developed during your time as a university undergraduate. Using the relevant template provided, you will write a short reflection of 500 words (+/- 10%).
Part B – Career action plan
Using the template provided, outline your broad career goal, short-term career goal and how this is SMART, and career action plan for the next 12 months. This should include steps towards identifying and planning for life beyond university, and should contain at least 5 clear actions.
In order to pass the module you must successfully complete and pass both parts of the assessment.
The assessment is pass / fail only. You will not be graded other than on a pass or fail basis. All work will be marked and moderated in accordance with the marking scheme and externally examined as per University’s regulations.
Assessment deadline: before midday on Wednesday January 8th 2025.
You must submit your assessment (part A and B) as two separate Word or PDF documents, using the templates provided. Allow time for the uploads to complete, ensuring you meet the deadline.
