After reading Chapters 20-21 on Ethical and Legal issues in advertising, and reviewing all of the additional Week 6 materials, address the following:
Search the Web for an unethical example of advertising.
What is the brand being promoted? What agency created the ad?
Using Chapter 20 as your guide, what is the ethical issue involved in this campaign?
Reference the AAF principles and practices posted in the “Additional Required Reading” folder and connect your issue to one of the guidelines.
Next, using Chapter 21 as your guide, is this ethical issue also a legal issue? Connect your issue to one of the laws that it either violates or almost violates.
Finally, how would you have handled this campaign differently to avoid these ethical and legal issues? What advice would you give the agency that created the campaign?
