We learned last week that self-management is about regulating our emotions and responses to situations. Self-management allows us to think clearly in emotionally charged situations and to control the desire to act on our impulses. This week, we will focus on strategies to develop the skill of self-management.
Remember, developing any skill requires time, practice, and commitment. This week, you will be asked to commit yourself to exercises designed to increase emotional self-management. The more time and practice you devote to the exercises, the more successful you will be.
Remember to practice the skills and strategies you learned about in previous weeks as the term continues.
