You will conduct a personal interview with a child protection social worker and record the responses in this assignment. The individual does not necessarily have to be a licensed social worker as long as they work in child protection services and social work professionals are preferred.
The interview should take 20-30 minutes. You should have at least 20 open-ended questions prepared before the interview. If you have trouble coming up with 20 questions, my strongest suggestion is to utilize the book and the material we have covered in class thus far. If you don’t have 20 questions, or a lot of answers on your submitted assignment, it will not be convincing that you participated in a 20–30-minute conversation.
There should be 5-7 slides explaining your findings. The slides should be creative and not written in paragraphs but should be in bullets.
The next to last slide should be a summary and the individual reactions from the interview. Additionally, the miracle question/answer should be on the next to last slide.
The last slide should be your reference citation.
-Use complete APA 7th edition format on the last side. CITE YOUR INTERVIEW.
Remember to Include the name of the interviewee, their title/position and agency for, AND THEIR PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESS in the CANVAS text entry section prior to submitting your assignment.
I reserve the right to contact any interviewee for verification and general inquiries. I also randomly check to ensure the person you say you interviewed exists, that they work where you claimed, and that they have spoken to you.
-List out the 20 questions that you prepared before-hand and a general summary of your interviewee’s response. You will need to take notes during the interview to remember this. If you reach 20-30 minutes of interview time without asking all of your questions, you do not need to continue on to finish your questions. Do list all of your questions in the assignment, but I understand a few at the end may not have a response if you ran out of time. *Be respectful of your interviewee’s time.
-Do not ask about confidential information. Do not share what you are told with anyone except in this assignment. In this effort, you represent yourself, me, Troy University, the interviewed, their agency, and our profession.

As always, please contact me if you have questions before the assignment is due.

Upload the Powerpoint with a general overview of what you discovered during the interview with the CPS worker, and the Youtube Link.
